Welcome to Mr. Braden’s 4th grade class page.
Welcome parents, students, and visitors! My name is Ben Braden and I am a 4th grade teacher at Newman Elementary School. I teach Mathematics and Science. This webpage has been created to become another form of communication to both my students and parents. My philosophy of teaching is summed up by a simple saying that I have with all past, present, and future students. The dumbest question is the one that you NEVER ask. So please feel free to use this site and contact me with any questions that you may have concerning your child’s education or environment. You can either send me a message through the website using the "contact me" icon or call the school and have them leave me a message and, I will get back to you as soon as I can. My conference period is from 1:00-1:45 Monday through Thursday.
I am a native El Pasoan born and raised. I graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in Portales in 2009. I am certified as a general education teacher with a minor in mathematics. This will be my fourth year at Newman Elementary School, but I have worked with children all my life. To me, there is nothing that I find more fulfilling when I finally see the light bulb go off and the " I get it" face comes on. That is what drives my passion for teaching, and keeps me positive for the future of our students and your children. I appreciate the privilege and honor of joining you and your child on this journey, and look forward to hearing from you.
